It deserves its 4 stars. City view, helpful staff. Near to the downtown, 5 minutes on foot.

We recommend the hotel and staff. Room was good sized, we truly enjoyed the view of the city from the window. Many thanks to driver! Great pool was available too...
-
Location, outdoor and indoor pool, huge bed
Monotonous breakfasts. The menu doesn't change, it's the same every day.
-
Lounge area on 9th floor with stunning views and infinity pool.
-
Quite big rooms Calm place to relax, far away from pubs and discos Kettle and tea, coffe... free of charge The staff was kind and helpfull
The Victoria is an old-fashioned and shabby hotel. The air-conditioning was very old and noisy, without enough power to cool a room, even if you turn it on all night long the room was quite warm. Cleaning service was very poor. We don't have minibar in the room. The nearest beach is a stone one, and not very nice.

Use of the Palace Hotel facilities. (Hotels interconnect on the 7th floor, pool and restaurant on 9th) As the hotel was in the centre of Sliema (don't expect sea views), the location was good to go to either side of the town's seafront, day or night, although not much happening around the hotel location as it's quite residential Gym, sauna, indoor pool etc.were very good "Talk of the Town" cafe bar (In Palace Hotel) was a nice oasis - always looked forward to coming back for a late/last drink at night. Quiet area and close to what Sliema has to offer. Multi- lingual front desk staff.
No bar service, shade or ashtrays at the Victoria Hotel (not Palace Hotel) outdoor pool. Room was quite dated and the shower had a very bad leak. No Mini-Bar. Room cleaning service was very poor - towels taken but not replaced, tissues not replenished (not toilet paper), sanitary bags not replenished. The bar - forget it, but as the hotel connects to The Palace Hotel and it's Cafe Bar, it didn't matter too much

Extremely pleasant reception staff. Very good location, close to Sliema front where you can pick up a ferry across to Valletta, or a stroll down to St Julians area. Did not have meals in the hotel so can not comment on the food. I had stayed in the sister hotel next door, the Palace a 5 star hotel, but found we could wander through to the Victoria and use the facilities of both hotels, I preferred the relaxed atmosphere in the penny black bar in the Victoria so while paying 5 star prices at the Palace we would walk through to the Victoria for a pleasant drink.
My only niggle was the air conditioning, although it was 36 degrees when we stayed, our room was quite warm but we were only there to sleep and shower.
-
Comfortable relaxing atmosphere in the hotel. Staff helpful to make our stay comfortable. Internet availability in the room (though we found it expensive). Coffee making facilities in room. Spacious and elegantly decorated room. Booking way in advance ensured a good room rate.
Breakfast nothing to write home about. Very average view for a superior room - view onto the roof of another building.
-
I liked the Victoria very much and was treated like frequent visitor... The staff went out of their way to make sure I had anything I needed and they upgraded Mr. Refalo and myself to the Palace (two separate rooms) which is joined on the seventh floor of the Victoria - their new five star hotel. The food was excellent and varied. If I return to Malta, I will definitely stay with them.
The Victoria is a bit tired but the rooms and the baths are huge in the old part of the hotel. They are upgrading these rooms.

We were enjoy in indoor pool, sauna and masages.
The staff were excellent and very helpful to foreignes to find their way around Malta. The hotel is clean and tidy but bathroom need of some refurbishment. The bar is very nice. We were enjoy in indoor pool and sauna. The location of hotel is perfect with easy acces to Sliema promenade and other attractions.
-
The staff were friendly and courteous. The reception staff in particular just couldn't do enough to help. The hotel is central, yet quiet - shabby chic would best describe it! We really enjoyed our stay there.
The swimming pool was a bit small, but we soon discovered the quietest times to go.
-
There was a relaxed atmosphere in surroundings that were quiet and peaceful. We liked they old buildings and streets around the hotel. There was a pleasant walk to the bus and ferry terminal where we could visit anywhere in the island.
Most of the rooms were smoking rooms and we had to change rooms when we arrived to a room for which we were charged more.
-
Friendly and courteous staff in all departments who were very helpful and informative. Food was very good.
Bath and shower were in need of updating
-
Very pleased, as we were doing an overnight stop from Catania on the way to Dublin. Our taxi was organised for us and brought us to the hotel, where we had booked dinner. Would try to come again for a longer stay.

All the staff were excellent, client friendly family run atmosphere, good location for Malta experience
